PRESS RELEASE
HOME INSPECTIONS BY THE FULMER GROUP Selected by NYSERDA (New York State Research and Development Authority) to deliver Home Energy Ratings Pilot in Erie County Home Inspections By The Fulmer Group today announced it was selected by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) to deliver Home Energy Scores to interested homebuyers in Erie County as part of the second phase of NYSERDA’s Home Energy Ratings Pilot. Home energy ratings are being offered as an opportunity that can help guide renovation and upgrade decisions that many new homebuyers make within the first year of ownership. Mark Fulmer, President, Fulmer Home Inspections said, “We are proud to be selected by NYSERDA to assist homeowners in Erie County by providing home energy ratings. With the cold weather each winter, a home energy rating can help save money on utility bills, while offering an opportunity to increase the value of a home and make it more marketable and appealing in the real estate market.” Home Energy ratings are similar to a “Miles Per Gallon” rating on a car, providing easy-to-understand visual reports that give the homeowner insight into how their home performs in areas like insulation, air leakage, heating and cooling efficiency, and hot water heating. Administered by the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA), the second phase of the pilot includes qualified home inspectors who are interested in providing third-party information about a home’s energy performance. Home Inspections By The Fulmer Group will deliver a Home Energy Score home energy performance rating to interested homebuyers at no cost. Each rating comes with a list of recommendations that help the homebuyer plan upgrades to their newly purchased home to increase the efficiency and comfort of their home. |
